(A) A seasonal effect can be seen in the non-catastrophic illness subgroup, as compared with the catastrophic illness subgroup visiting EDs, for which no seasonal effect was observed. (B) A higher proportion of ED visits was noted for the catastrophic illness subgroup as compared with the prevalence.
